At Precious Home for Paws Kennels, the health and happiness of every Maine Coon, Ragdoll, Bengal kitten, Maltese, Golden Retriever, and Dachshund puppy is our highest priority. Initial Health Check

Before any kitten or puppy leaves our care, they receive a thorough veterinary examination by a licensed veterinarian. This comprehensive check includes:

Physical exam from nose to tail
Fecal test for parasites
Verification that they are free of contagious diseases
Heart and lung auscultation
Weight and temperature check

Full results are shared with you before adoption — total transparency so you know exactly what condition your new companion is in.

1. Official Health Certificate

Every kitten and puppy comes with a state-issued Health Certificate signed by a licensed veterinarian confirming they are healthy, fully vaccinated for their age, dewormed, and approved for travel (domestic or international when applicable).

2. Industry-Leading 2-Year Genetic Health Guarantee

We provide a full 2-year hereditary and congenital health guarantee covering life-threatening genetic conditions common to each breed:

                If diagnosed with any covered life-threatening condition within 2 years:

                You choose — we will either replace your companion with another of equal value from the next available litter, OR issue a full refund of the purchase price.

3. 14-Day Viral & Parasite Guarantee

Should your new companion be diagnosed with a contagious illness (parvovirus, distemper, panleukopenia, URI, giardia, coccidia, etc.) within 14 days of arrival, we cover 100% of reasonable veterinary costs up to the purchase price.

4. Vaccination & Preventative Care

All kittens and puppies leave us:

Age-appropriate vaccinations completed
Multiple deworming treatments
Microchipped (upon request)
Started on flea/tick & heartworm prevention
Full medical records provided

Required First Vet Visit (Important)

To activate both the 14-day viral and 2-year genetic guarantees, you must take your new companion to a licensed veterinarian for a wellness exam within 48 hours (2 business days) of arrival. Email us a copy of the report within 7 days.

What Is Not Covered

Conditions caused by accident, injury, neglect, poor diet, or lack of proper care
Minor/non-life-threatening issues (allergies, cherry eye, small hernias, etc.)
Spay/neuter complications
Conditions detectable during the required 48-hour vet visit

Lifetime Return Policy & Rehoming Assistance

If, for any reason, at any time in your pet’s life you can no longer keep them — we will gladly take them back, no questions asked, and find them a loving new home. Your companion will always have a safe place with us.
